Nicola Brown, Ph.D., C.Psych (she/her)
Dr. Nicola Brown, CPsych, completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at York University in Toronto and her internship at the Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School in Boston. She did a postdoc fellowship there in the Victims of Violence program and went on to take a variety of leadership and supervision roles at a major mental health hospital in Toronto, alongside private practice work. Bringing together prairie sensibilities and big-city experience, she is now “home” where she grew up and holds registrations in both Ontario and Manitoba.
A seasoned, mid-career psychologist providing individual therapy for adults, she is experienced in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, family and relationship issues, big life changes, loss and grief, and workplace stress, sexuality and gender exploration, coming out and transition planning, including gender-affirming surgical assessments. The practice focuses on longer-term work and also welcomes people looking for a focused chapter. It is queer and trans competent. She is also available for clinical consultation to other therapists.
Nicola is available to meet virtually and in person on Mondays. You may also spot her around the neighbourhood walking with her enthusiastic golden retriever.
